1. About the Involvement Catalogue
What is the Involvement Catalogue?
The Involvement Catalogue is a directory of extracurricular programs and activities available at UCalgary that are eligible for recognition on the Co-Curricular Record. Using tags from all activities listed in the Co-Curricular Record database and programs available through the Involvement Portal, students can search for opportunities based on their interests and availability.
How does it work?
The Involvement Catalogue is populated by the activities, positions and programs that are included in the UCalgary Involvement Portal. Each activity and program in the Involvement Portal has a unique set of tags that provide information about it, including: if it is free to participate in or has a cost associated with it, the campus area/department(s) it is related to, relevant interest areas, the demographics of students who are eligible to participate in the activity/program, the academic term the program/activity is active during, and the time of the day/week that the program/activity is active during.
Using these tags, students can search for programs and activities in the Involvement Portal that are relevant to their interests, availability, academic program, and so on. Alternatively, students can search the Involvement Catalogue using key words or terms in the search bar.
2. Frequently Asked Questions
How can I update the tags listed for my program/activity?
If you notice that a program/activity has inaccurate or outdated tags, please email involve@ucalgary.ca. You are encouraged to include the updates you would like made to the activity in your email.
Why isn't the tagging system working?
If you notice that the tagging function of the Involvement Catalogue is not working, please email involve@ucalgary.ca, as this may be due to a technical issue with the portal.
